Some reviews indicated that the opener does not work, so I was very hesitant to buy. My experience is that they are both right and wrong. Mine is very well made and works great. But. When it arrived I immediately installed the opener with the two screws that came with it. There were no screws for the top basket to catch the bottles. Since the basket is made of stainless steel, I bought two stainless steel screws to attach it. The first few times with the opener was successful. It took more than one attempt to open some of the bottles. The bottle caps just didn't fit. I felt it. So I stuck my finger in the hole to see if I could pinpoint the source of the problem and I felt something soft. There's a piece of packaging in there! I didn't notice it when installing. I used needle nose pliers to remove the obstruction. Now it works easily and flawlessly every time. I suspect many buyers have the same problem. If your knife isn't working perfectly, look for an obstacle. Obviously, the obstacle is not so easy to spot. The knife is great. I love it. This is the perfect accessory for our back deck. Looks great too!
