Review on πŸ”§ Danco 88103 Repair Kit for Delta/Peerless Single-Handle Faucets in Black, White, and Stainless Steel by Mike Fedd

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Looks easy but be very careful.

Danco has been around for a long time and Danco seems to get Delta parts easier than Delta. This is easily restored if the union nut is removable. The union nut often binds, and excessive turning of the nut (counterclockwise) can cause the fragile parts inside the valve to warp. Make sure you mark the top of the sleeve with a laundry marker before you start twisting counterclockwise. If this mark moves, you will permanently damage the valve! The solution to a stuck nut is to use a small hacksaw to cut through the nut, starting at the shank and working backwards to the knurled surface of the nut. Be careful not to cut off the male thread of the valve body! After cutting the union nut, carefully pry the union nut off at the cut.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Nothing here
