Broken rail clasp suitable for storing cutlery and crockery

The concept of this rail is ingenious. I was definitely NOT planning on drilling holes in my tile so this was the perfect solution. I started with 2 sets (4 total) and ended up buying another one. I would give that a 5 but it had a broken rail/latch when I installed my last set. This rendered it grossly unusable until a replacement arrived. The seller was very nice but asked me to post pictures of the broken latch before replacing it. So here are the photos in all their glory. This inquiry initiated a somewhat more in-depth analysis of this product. God forbid one of these bolts will break in the future.1. Removing an item from a tile (unless there's a trick I haven't learned yet). This takes several hours and I believe can even damage your tile. 2. The good news is they stay on your wall/surface FOREVER!3. These locking hooks look sturdy. "Look" is the key word. I do not think so. In order not to stress or strain these rails/latches, I did not fully engage them when hanging. The weight of the cookware holds the rack bars in place.4. In my 60 years as a chef, I have never come across a plastic (other than dishes) that can withstand heat, sunlight, washing, etc. for more than 10 years. mine is still going strong at 50. I hope the manufacturer comes up with a metal clasp hanger that will stand up to the element of time. (Hopefully it will). If not, these racks are cheap enough to replace, at least for now. I asked the seller if there were more hanging hooks to buy. The answer was no. Disappointing but as I have just bought 2 more there will now be additional hanging hooks. I would advise the manufacturer to add at least one extra rail/latch that ships with each set of 2. Until I get a replacement rail/latch. It will take more than a week to complete this project. Bottom line, as long as they stay attached to my tile and the rails/locks aren't broken, I'll love them. I definitely wouldn't try to place them on wooden cabinets or wallpaper. . Not on a painted surface, unless you're looking for a grungy, peeling paint, shabby warehouse-style kitchen for your kitchen. ;-) For those who need a reliable homemade product to keep mirrors, chrome, tiles and anything shiny/stainless without streaks, try mixing equal parts hydrogen peroxide 3%, rubbing alcohol 91% and water. I use spray bottles and soft cloths or paper towels. Works on most hard surfaces. I have tiled floors and countertops all over my house, so I wash, polish and sanitize everything at once. Try it on a striped bathroom mirror and you'll immediately appreciate its capabilities. :) UPDATE: The E-Gtong seller was very kind in figuring out which part was damaged and replacing it. I've since bought 2 more and will be hanging them up soon. I love how they organized my oven.
