The idea is good, but not so good in practice.
Probably better not to waste time and money. This tool looks like it should be good, but a combination of blade thickness and/or tool thickness is causing a problem. I've found that I'm just better off using a regular all-purpose razor and a piece of wood as a portable cutting board. The problem is that when cutting, the edge has to bend to the side, but with this tool it has to bend right at the cut, which causes problems. Because of the shape, the blade isn't as thin as a regular straight razor and I ended up with a lot of little nicks.
