This is a very functional product that solves one of my favorite problems. Within a few years, it became a fad to constantly increase the size of the pieces in a salad, and the more sophisticated the restaurant, the larger the pieces, or so it seems. Well, I prefer small pieces in my salads. This product gives me that. The slicing blade is comfortable in the hand and adapts to the curve of the bowl. The bowl itself is large enough to make a salad for the whole family, very sturdy and slightly textured on the inside to keep the food in place while slicing. It's also big enough that you can toss the lettuce after cutting it without the lettuce ending up on the counter or floor. The chopper and bowl are also dishwasher safe. The only problem with the dishwasher is that the bottom has a lip, leaving water in the dishwasher at the end of the cycle. They had to provide several drainage slots in the rim.
