I have bought several versions of these fans. My plan is to have them available next time I go to the beach. In the meantime I let my kids use them and share them with a friend who plays outside. They got a real kick out of it. The battery life is good, so it lasts quite a while on lower settings. I was hoping that the constant flow of air would help keep gnats and mosquitoes off their faces.
