This is my first scraper. Came in a week ago and have been using it ever since. I don't know what I've been waiting for. I now have arthritis in my hands and I was afraid it would require exercise. It is self-evident from the beginning and belongs to my hand for the Christmas baking. It's very durable and doesn't give way. So if you want this feature, you need another. I thought the inches on the blade were silly, but I use them all day - measuring for proper spacing between racks, checking cookie spacing, batter size, batter depth and all. I read the part about the wooden handle. I had no problems. I'm a meticulous cleaner, so like my knives, I try to clean it right after a task, and I always have hot, soapy water in a bowl for this while I cook. Dries fast. I didn't put it in the dishwasher and probably won't.
