Advantages: 1) Good length. You can pedal 2) It's very strong 3) It's easy to attach to the bike 4) It's not expensive. Cons: 1) Doesn't stay upright 2) Doesn't rotate clockwise/counterclockwise. This clamp works for me because I also have a freestanding bike stand. The problem with this is that I have to get it out of the garage, set it up and then put it away. I use it on the weekends when I do a full bike clean. This stand is good for my morning commute before I have to go to work. I pull it off the barn door (see pic), put my bike on it and wipe the bike down. Fast daily cleaning after the trip. The big downside is that it doesn't rotate, so it's not easy to get hit by a bike. In addition, you cannot pinch the seat post.
