It's great when it works. My router is in the living room, about the same room as where I keep my computer, and somehow the adapter gets disconnected a lot during my use. I mostly use my computer to play games or occasionally watch youtube videos and there is so much buffer it's funny at times. Other times it's so smooth and works like a dream and I can play games or watch videos without a single buffer. To be honest I would give this product 5 stars if the disconnects weren't so frequent, but the constant disconnection while gaming is beyond words frustrating and ruins the overall experience for me. I tested the adapter in the same room as my modem and it didn't turn off at all, which is no surprise. The range isn't that great I guess so the experience might be different for you. My computer is on the floor so it can shut down as often for me, but if your computer is up close enough to get the best signal, you might have a better experience. Overall I would recommend this product if your computer is in a place where it can receive good signals, otherwise you will not be happy with your purchase. Also, I forgot to mention that it was plug/insert and play. All I had to do was connect to my WiFi and I was set up with Windows 10.
