When I ordered this drill I was under the impression that it would be the same as my old drill. I have 40s from my old one that was made abroad. When I started searching, I typed in a 17-inch drill press. Somewhere this detail has been changed. This is a 13 inch drill press. Now this drill uses a piece of 3" exhaust pipe for the vertical shaft. Not a heavy load at all. The belt guard is so flimsy that I'll take it off and weld on shims to steady it. The motor also vibrates. All in all you get what you pay for!I was trying not to spend 1000.00 on a drill and now I wish I had.I know it will get the job done but spend more and get more for your hard earned money.
