I bought this set for a number of reasons - the price for the amount of product you get is very fair, previous reviews seemed They were tough and could take a beating (I've seen similar tools fail in the past) and came in a variety of hole sizes. Fast forward a few days and I have two of these stuck in ball joints, a very rusty 30 year old one ton ex-farm truck, pounding them relentlessly with a 4 pound hammer. While this is the type of work they were designed for and therefore cannot be considered abuse, I certainly have not been kind to them. However, after loosening the steering knuckles on both the driver and passenger sides, there was little old (bad) grease left on the trim. A bit of lube and cleaner and they still look almost new (apart from some damage to the side of the hammer). A smaller fork was also used to remove the tie rods on either side, with similar results. It's worth noting that I tried hammering both the pivot and the threaded rod with the same 4 pound hammer and it didn't budge until I easily removed it with this fork. Very happy with this purchase and proud to have them in my instrument collection.
