I bought a few months before I was ready to install. I made the stupid mistake of not testing it before handing out the last few shrink connectors and nothing worked. After extensive testing with a gauge, I overcame the temptation to just smash it with a hammer (I have anger issues) and take it apart. So wow! The switch was mounted upside down so that the (offset) blades on the back of the rocker switch did not connect to sockets on the circuit board. Glad you didn't break it? Switch removed and installed correctly. There was simply no connection through the circuit board. I was thinking of just bypassing the dimmer function and just using the rocker switch, but to do that I'd have to leave the board and leave not just a dead slider but an open slot, so what's the point of having it there anyway.
