This is a big improvement over the original headband. The difference between day and night. Compared to the original headband, the comfort of the headset goes from 3 to 8 out of 10. It's much better. less pressure on the face. There is also a spring mechanism on the sides that allows you to easily remove and attach the strap with a handle on the back AFTER you have tightened and installed the strap. If you're the only person using the headset, you'll never have to fiddle with the grip and adjust it again after the first time. I also like how the earbuds fit snugly on the ears. They also conveniently snap into place to take the headset off and put it back on. They don't just hang around there. It really is a huge design improvement. I sincerely hope they make this standard in the future. The old headband, on the other hand, is garbage (throw away).
