I bought this to put my son's school iPad on a tripod to record his music assignments. This thing doesn't hold the iPad vertically, it can only be mounted horizontally. If the iPad has a case (usually school iPads have a thick case), it won't fit without removing it. In addition, a quarter screw is NOT included, which is required for mounting on a tripod. For me it didn't serve the purpose. Based on my feedback, the Ipow team contacted me, we had several email exchanges to resolve my issues. To my delight, they sent me a new and better mount that fits my son's iPad well, even with a thick case. Also, the new one has a hinge on the back to adjust the iPad's angle on the mount while recording. With great customer service and a much improved product, I have to give them a 5 star rating.
