Just like Don Quixote, I went in search of a seemingly unattainable dream - a mold for making large ice balls. When the Samuelworld molds arrived, I eagerly opened the package and cleaned the molds. Although there were no instructions, the concept was quite simple. I put the silicone top and plastic bottom together and carefully filled them with ZERO WATER filtered water. Then I carefully placed the mold in the freezer. After about an hour I noticed that water was leaking from the seam between the top and bottom and freezing over the fridge shelf. I filled it with water and checked again for leaks. The two halves seemed to freeze together and stopped licking. After 6 hours I tried to open the form. When I pulled the tab to remove the top, the broken hemispheres of the ice cream cones went away with the top while the others remained in the plastic base. Complete failure! So I ended up with a freezer covered in ice and cloudy, cracked and broken balls of ice. I've tried other brands of balloon molds and this is by far the worst! Not worthy of the search.
