It was very difficult to install on a 2006 Trailblazer (and the PassKey nonsense wasn't part of the problem, it was pretty easy to deal with). In fact, I didn't finish the installation. No matter what I tried, I couldn't get him to do what he was supposed to do. I ended up going to a reputable local installer, bought one of their products and asked them to install it. Gave it to my brother to try on his old car. I will say that during the installation different parts of its functionality will work and it seems that if you can understand that it will be pretty cool. The instructions seemed to provide enough information (the online video didn't help), but once you got into it, the necessary details were missing. Considering the price it was worth it. If you have experience installing things like this, you may have better luck than me. I'm certainly not a noob when it comes to wrenching and repairing, but apparently it was a bit out of my wheelhouse.
