Note, these pedals are not being compared to high dollar aggressive super strong downhill and trail pedals. Different category.It's hard to talk too much about value. I spent as much money on a brake cable set for my kids bike (plus noodle) as I did for these pedals. If strapped for cash, ok, good value. But you can upgrade to something nicer for the cost of 2 Starbucks lattes.No fitment issues, spindle threads were clean and free of burrs or tears. I don't know if the color matched the pics online - they came yellow and look nice.Weight is average. Lighter than some, but heavier than a lot of others. I'm not expecting a highly engineered pedal for this price.The pins are too aggressive for my taste. But not out of bed with other platforms. This is purely subjective. The pins file down easily for less grip.Life/maintenance is another matter. One pedal spindle was gritty and rough after 4 rides with some minor abuse (pedal strikes, small drops) but no wet or super dirty riding. It cleaned up fine. The other is starting to go after about 20 rides. I expect a short life if not maintained more frequently.I've bent over 2 pins on a rock strike. Just screws so I can replace them. But there appears to be a bit of damage on the pedal too. Unsure how many times I can do this. Not quite as durable as I wanted, but again, for the price.I think they are slightly more flexible under load than comparable race face. It could be spindle & bushing or the pedal itself, not sure. I feel it on the climbs and drops. I'm ok with it for my moderate riding style, Midwest on a hardtail, mild jumping.So how do I sum these up? I'll ride them till they break. Plenty of grip, easily sturdy enough for Midwest on a hardtail. Expecting shorter life if I don't stay on top of maintenance. Main advantage is low cost so you can try platforms that are a huge step up from the bike shop generic nylons for cheap. Main disadvantage for me is expectation of short life due to pin damage and spindle maintenance (no, I'm not going to clean them every 20 rides for life.).For the money, you're getting a decent pedal. Occasional riders will get a great deal. I suspect more aggressive riders will end up replacing or upgrading, leading to higher overall cost.
