I bought this because I have 2 dogs, 3 children - 3 years 18 months and the baby is due in May. And they handle the furniture roughly. SPILL. I've only had it for about 5 days and it's already had its first squirt and it was soaked and landed on my couch within 30 seconds. And it wasn't a big spill. I haven't washed it yet. So xs how good it looks after washing. However, sweeping is not that easy, as the vacuum cleaner sucks in the lid itself. And just know that it doesn't hold up with small children or even dogs that jump and jump a lot. I fix it all the time so it doesn't look like a big mess.
