This item replaced another external sound card that had not worked for several months. I was hesitant and skeptical about its capabilities, but I was amazed at the efficiency of this sound card. I just plugged it into a USB port, plugged the powered speaker jack into the headphone jack on my Sound Blaster, and it worked with no hiccups. And the sound was beautiful. I followed the installation instructions very carefully and made sure the Sound Blaster program was installed before testing the external card. I'm so happy to finally have a product that works as advertised and thank Creative for such an excellent product.
