Review on 🌬️ Honeywell CS10XE Indoor Portable Evaporative Cooler with Detachable Tank, Carbon Dust Filter, Remote Control - Silver/Gray, 300 CFM by Angela Stephenson

After reading many reviews and living in SW Colorado (dry climate - 16% humidity), I thought it might offer some relief in our occasionally warm weather. Our house does not have central air conditioning, so it can get a little hot upstairs in the summer. These products were well packaged and arrived undamaged. It does not include an ice tray as stated in the comparison on Revain. We opened the skylight and the window in the adjoining bedroom, filled it with water (not heavy) and turned it on in anticipation. After 3 hours of operation, the humidity rose to 30%, but the temperature in the bedroom where the air was blown did not change. The next day I loaded a bunch of ice into the water tank below (you have to open and lift the unit (fan/pump) to get to the water tank) and then we lit it again. Same result - so I'm sending it back. The unit is easy to use, but contrary to some reviews, it's a bit noisy - we turned it on in the mid-level loft and had to turn on the TV in the living room. The "rotation" function that moves the vertical blinds only moves the lower part of the blinds. The top of each louver rotates, but it doesn't seem to move as much as the bottom, so I don't think it did an efficient job of moving air from side to side. Good packaging, simple operation, beautiful appearance. /sleek device, so I give it 2 stars instead of 1.
