So cars don't like this product. Will not work in 2008 Mazda 3, 2011 Toyota Camry or 2011 Chevy Impala. Not only that, but the behavior is very strange. The product works great with any headphone. Not only that, I've found that you can get it working in a car if you play the audio through your headphones first. Then unplug the headphones and plug in the car aux. It's like the key has to let sound through before it works with the car's auxiliary socket. Makes absolutely no sense to me. I wonder if this has something to do with "built-in DAC". I DON'T KNOW. It's really strange to me that the problem seems to start with the phone as it doesn't even recognize the key when connected to the car's auxiliary device. I'm at a loss. But literally the only reason I want this is my car, and I'm not getting a new car any time soon, so I'm returning this product. Update: So it turns out this is a common problem for dongles due to improper digital to analog conversion. I ended up just buying a 3.5mm USB-C cable instead of a dongle. However, I chose to keep the dongle as well because it works with headphones and I have a couple of good in-ear headphones that I could occasionally use with my phone.
