I used to get a Diamantcel file without a plastic handle and used it for years. However, I left it in another country and my cracked heels need another file. I decided to pay a little more for these with a little more roughness and a softer feel. Wow that's great compared to a mental file that doesn't offer that much grip. The oval shape is perfect for polishing your heels. I usually do this in the shower after the dead skin has softened a bit. It's also fun to do before or after a shower, but then the dead skin cells fly all over the place. In any case, this is the best solution for cracks, cracked heels, pumice is not a problem. And they really do last for years if you don't lose them.
