Here's what to expect from this crap. You plug it in and if you're lucky, Windows 10 will install a driver for it using Windows Update. Plug in a device (headphones in my case) and everything seems to be working. Then the following happens: The Bluetooth dongle completely disables the USB port, your USB controller or your computer. The port or USB controller is disabled at the hardware level. You will completely lose access to the connected Bluetooth device and possibly everything else through the computer's USB port. Some reviews talk about losing the keyboard and mouse. Most likely they're just connected to the same hub as this piece of shit. A restart often helps. Disabling the key may help. But nothing you will ever do (including installing very dubious "driver" software) will make this device work for more than a few minutes to failure. I plugged this dongle into a powered USB 3.0 hub with a degree of intelligence. This is an Anker hub that has an indicator light for each connected and powered USB port. After this Bluetooth USB host adapter fails, the hub will reboot. My keyboard and mouse would have returned, but the Anker hub, finding that this dongle wasn't working, would disable the connection with the Bluetooth adapter. Connected directly to the computer, it caused the motherboard host controller to fail. The "driver" software is probably malware. Since there are many positive reviews and this is not the cheapest of the Bluetooth dongles, I suspect that this manufacturer only produces defective hardware. and let it pass QA.Returned. DO NOT BUY. I'd rather spend more money for a quality working key than restart my computer 20 times and spend half a day trying to find a stable configuration to no avail.
