I figured the whole reason it was like a fishing pole was that I could sit where I was at and throw it and play with my cat. Because all the other ones that are available are stationary (attached) and are very short. She likes to get behind things, and underneath things and act like she's hunting when we play. So, it's difficult when I only have a small amount of line that the toys on the end areattached to and a short cheap handle (rod) to hold on to. So, yeah it's basically a toy version of a fishing rod. I didn't expect much but the string that they have is no longer than any of the other strings on the stationary ones. So, my whole thing was like what's the use of putting a reel and making it look like a fishing rod if the string is not any longer than one on a stationary rod? Kind of defeats the purpose. I took the string off and put on fishing line thinking maybe I can make it a little bit longer, but yeah it doesn't work. I guess the object that's on the end of it is not heavy enough and so therefore it doesn't want to unravel from the reel and the reel constantly pops. I don't want to put anything heavier on the end because I accidentally smacked her in the face when I had 2 toys on the end and it kind of traumatized her. yeah, I don't think this is a great idea honestly.
