I just searched am radio very good. It's difficult or practically impossible to access local sports on your phone without paying a certain price. So I just took a small radio. The AM and FM radio stations work without any problems. I don't know much about shortwave radio, but I haven't really given six different channels with hundreds of frequencies a chance. But the ones I looked at I get no reception. Do not purchase this for this purpose unless you know how to use shortwave radio or are unfamiliar with shortwave radio broadcasts. I didn't buy it for that. It has a working alarm clock, reception is very good, that's all there is to say.
