Beware of the cost of grinding and finishing materials
I bought this rasp after a more expensive tool of the same type became clogged with pulp. I use it to finish the edges of oak panels. The oak has been dried for 2 years and is quite hard. Even the carbide rasp I used was starting to dull. Worse, the instrument was covered with a cellulose glaze that was difficult to remove. While I expect the same from this tool, the cost is reasonable enough that it's cheaper to replace than clean.
