I bought this because it seemed like a must before using a wet electric mop. Not sure if it was worth adding, but she does a good job. I've used the vacuum nozzle attachment to vacuum up most debris and dog hair from hardwood floors and still find it works better than the mop attachment. Partly because I have two dogs that lose a TON of fur. However, I'll have to try again because if I mop without using this OR a vacuum first, I'll definitely end up with spots of dust or dirt that can get wet and stick. Floor. As a result, I quickly realize that I need to pretreat the floors a bit by simply removing the floating residue. And this mop is much easier to pull out and use than my vacuum. I like it, but I'm not entirely convinced of it yet. How that works with a vacuum cleaner, I have to compare something. However, it has its place, is simple and easy to use, and definitely picks up a lot of stuff off the floor.
