Very easy setup. I connected the supplied USB mouse and HDMI monitor to the recorder and turned both devices on. Time. They are pre-numbered from 1 to 4 and the recorder will recognize and connect to each in a matter of seconds. Recording on the supplied 1TB disc starts automatically. The display can show 4 records at the same time. Double click on any quadrant to view that camera in full screen, double click again to return to viewing all 4 cameras. As the light dims, the camera switches to IR for beautiful, sharp black and white images. I haven't connected the recorder to my local network yet, so I haven't used the suggested app yet. It is not clear how to order 1 or 4 more compatible cameras. The specified part number is not compatible. Buying another kit can be a cheap way to get 4 more cameras. Overall the system works well and many options are mouse accessible. So far I would recommend this system.
