Not everything is so bad, the average purchase in quality.

As already noted, this printer is the apotheosis of the work of marketers for the consumer society: The cost of a set of two original cartridges is MORE EXPENSIVE than a printer complete with cartridges! At least the way I bought it. So after finishing the ink in the cartridges, it is cheaper to buy a new printer than new cartridges to it.
Given that the print head is built into the cartridges, the production of cheaper analogues is excluded.
The only way out is refueling, but for this, hands must grow from the right place, there must be a certain skill - it is unlikely that a housewife or an office clerk will do this.
And judging by the stories on the forums, the cartridges can withstand up to 5 refills - then you still have to buy new ones, since the print quality will become unacceptable due to head wear.

Pros

For 2500 MFPs - a normal choice.

Cons

Attention! No borderless printing on A4 sheets! Borderless printing is only possible on smaller sizes such as 10x15 photo paper. Almost nowhere is this detail specified, except somewhere in the basement of the Canon website itself. And all online stores and aliexpress write "Yes" in the "Printing without borders" column, misleading customers. Very noisy. When the carriage moves, shocks are heard, and the device itself almost bounces. I have a huge HP T120 next to me, so it's just not audible during work, compared to this Canon.
