Review on 💨 Enhanced Logitech N200 Cooling Pad with USB-Powered 2-Speed Fan by Andy Edwards

You know these things can get so hot that they are literally frying an egg. We had this issue with both my wife's 17" MacBook Pro (early 2011 model) and my new 15" MacBook Pro Retina. and we were looking for a fix. There are a few issues that we specifically wanted to address 1) We wanted something with a fan to keep the overall temperature down (because the keyboard can actually burn you while gaming) 2) We wanted something that saved There are many cooler options with powerful fans that can be mounted on tables but none of them seem comfortable on the knees Cooling Pad N200 We bought both for a change The backlit Targu s Lap Chill Mat provides excellent heat protection for your knees and comfortably elevates the display. It is also very comfortable to sit on your knees. My wife's 17 inch laptop sits flush against the edges like it was made for it. My 15" MacBook also fits comfortably on the mat, leaving about an inch of mat on all sides. Contrary to some other reviewers, the rubber tabs on the top of the mat feel very sturdy and I haven't had any issues with them becoming loose or popping out. The only issue we REALLY have with the mat is that the fan is so weak it's almost useless. It makes no noticeable difference in surface temperature at all. and even just holding your hand over the fan, there is very little air movement. but at least it's quiet. On the other hand, the Logitech Cooling Pad N200 is not really comfortable. at least not for me (small pillow on big lap), but my wife doesn't mind at all. However, what it lacks in convenience, it makes up for in cooling performance. The Logitech pillow has two speeds - and at maximum speed the laptop cools perfectly (or at least heats up tolerably during demanding tasks, for example in games). Despite what some reviewers say about the Logitech tablet, it's fairly quiet even at max speed (it's nothing more than a low hum -- about the same volume as the built-in MacBook Retina fans). But while a 15-inch laptop fits perfectly on a Logitech mat (and is more comfortable due to its light weight), a 17-inch laptop is too big and too heavy for it. Now don't get me wrong, this thing still holds 17 inches of comfortable cold (warm) under full load while keeping the heat off your knees, it's just a slightly uncomfortable fit. So here's my recommendation: In general, I would choose Targus for any 17" laptop and Logitech for any 15" laptop. For 17 inch laptops, Targus is simply more comfortable on your knees and keeps your feet warm. even if it doesn't cool the laptop itself very well. If you have a 15-inch laptop (especially one of the newer Retina MacBooks), get a Logitech mat instead - it'll cool the laptop much better, and the lighter weight of a 15-inch laptop means it's reasonably comfortable is (though not quite). . as comfortable as Targus). If you're more concerned about overall thermal management for laptops of any size, you can always go with Logitech. Just remember that there will be an awkward edge.
