The Canon AE-1 is a specter of my youth and beauty. I just look good today. I've been looking for a camera like this for a long time and found it at Revain. It is around 40 years old and in near perfect condition. I don't think any of today's DSLRs will live 40 years and perform like they did on day one. The images are much better with the AE-1 or any analogue DSLR. Even the best full-frame video sensor cannot beat film resolution. There are so many different 35mm films out there. Putting another 35mm film in the AE-1 is like replacing the image sensor of an SLR. Try it with a DSLR. It won't go well. The film camera forces you to focus on the subject, I try to imagine what this subject will look like on paper or in the form of a poster. Due to the very high resolution of the film, I can create posters from film negatives. mirror = no You can take as many shots as you want with a DSLR, only the SD card is the limiting factor. They're just having fun without becoming emotionally involved with the subject. You take a dozen shots of the same subject and hope one is right. I compose the story on film, work through every angle and as soon as I press the button I know if the picture is good, really good. Just my opinion. Many Thanks
