I used this to increase memory in two laptops and to salvage and save devices from about a dozen desktop computers that I attached to the Electronics got sent salvage. I kept the internal cards and memory but got rid of the motherboards and cases. Was pleased with how things turned out. I should have ordered two pads. Next I will be swapping out my desktop machine for a newer, larger server chassis. Both housings should be protected from static electricity. Kicking myself because I didn't know this was actually great and should have ordered two. I also bought anti-static gloves and an anti-static wrist thing. Maybe exaggerated. Be careful with sharp edges on desktop cases. This pad can tear or be punctured by sharp edges as the pad is soft.
