The pins are fine but the quality of the socket that engages the metal part of the door is poor. I tried removing the one I just installed and it broke into pieces. It broke due to an improperly made plastic molding and shouldn't be so brittle if molded properly. I did some stress testing and found that all the models I tested were just as flimsy and more fragile than the old ones that had been sitting in my door for 19 years. My guess is that the plastic injection molder operated the mold at a lower temperature than the minimum recommended by the plastic manufacturer. . Injection molders do this so they can produce more parts per hour, which reduces production costs (processing plastic in warmer molds takes longer to cool, so longer cycle times are required, producing fewer parts per hour but fewer brittle parts) . Areas (holes and slots) require the correct mold temperature for part quality. Buy OEM instead
