So glad I have this replacement cover - my marble tile got horrible for putting off fixing my bissell problem. It arrived today and after finally removing all the other broken parts from the water valve I'm glad the bathroom is sparkling again! Came to light here: There was a gasket, a smaller rubberized cone, a spring, a black screw and part of the original screw strap at the top when I was trying to attach the newly attached parts of the water tank. . I got scared for a minute because I wasn't sure what to keep and what to remove. It took me a heck of a lot of time to undo some of the bottom components, particularly the piece of torn off screw strap, but I'm happy to report that my reckless urge to dig up every bit with a small meat fork and just replace the new reservoir cap/ pushing out the new bottle was the right decision. In other words, if you bought that replacement cap and like me you don't know what to do with the other weird bits you find inside the inner nozzle, turns out they must have all been hanging around in the broken old nozzle , and you can drop them all. This solved my problem and my steam cleaner was up and running again in minutes!
