I have a friend who was in the Bay Area during the September wildfires. She sent me pictures of orange skies and told me how terrible the air quality was indoors and how she couldn't find an air purifier in a jiffy. When I heard about it, I wanted to get a HEPA air purifier if the air quality ever got worse here. Better to have and not need than to need and not have, right? Anyway, I've used it a few times just to see how it works. You can hear it, but I really like the sound, it's kind of a low hum that creates a nice white noise, but not so loud that it's annoying. That also seems to be working fine. I used it after my girlfriend brought her dog to my house because my nephew is allergic to dogs. He didn't gasp or sneeze the next time he visited, so I think the scales are gone. The air also felt fresher in the rooms I used it in.
