Review on ๐ŸŽง Immerse in High-Definition Audio with Klipsch RP-600M Reference Premiere Bookshelf Speakers - Pair (Ebony) by Terry Gernes

impressive presence and balanced detail

Bought a Klipsch RP-600M to replace Usher S-520 speakers which developed a defect in the bass cone (after over a decade of regular use). Usher speakers had a warmth that Klipsch lacks. Instead, to my ears, the Klipsch are neutral or even slightly bright in the high frequencies. However, the RP-600M is extremely balanced across the audio spectrum. The RP-600M takes about 10 hours to get a decent break-in period; the sound gets a little warmer. I read it's quite long for speakers. I take this as an indication of the quality of the materials. The speakers are impressively well made. The RP-600M is amazingly responsive. I hear details in the music that I've never heard before. This is the most impressive facet of these speakers. RP-600M are also effective. I use an SMSL AD18 amplifier with an optical (digital) cable to connect my speakers to music stored on my computer at CD quality or better (24 bit). When replacing the Usher with RP-600M speakers, the volume had to be turned down. I like the ebony finish more than the smooth piano black finish, which is a bit too reflective for my liking and picks up fingerprints and dust easily. Ears at the level of an average speaker. For optimal positioning, we recommend using a height-adjustable speaker stand (e.g. VideoSecu 1B7). Overall, I'm very happy with my RP-600M speakers.
