I use this with my Macbook Pro. I've been looking at some of these adapters for far too long. I almost ordered another one when I found out it wasn't lightning speed, just USB 3. Why settle for less than 1/3 speed when one port can do more? The port is also designed for full charging power. For the price it was an obvious choice, the only one I found that was close to all options was $69. Not only does it run at full Thunderbolt speeds, but it works with both SD and Micro SD cards, it has 2 USB3 ports, and the Micro USB reader is rated at 104Mbps, which is faster is when many cards are read, so data is being transferred from higher-end cards at full speed. It can also connect my Macbook to 2 4k displays, I only have one and my second monitor is a 24 inch Dell monitor which is not 4k but a newer high resolution monitor so I haven't tested that but I did am very pleased that I was able to find a device that does everything I need at a lower price than any other I have found.
