Works as advertised, very sturdy and looks good. It has no problem to support 17 inch laptop. However, after using it for about 5 months, I encountered a small catch. The rubber grips that hold the laptop in place have become loose over time. The glue used must be cheap. I thought maybe that's not so important and tried to put the laptop without it, but I was wrong. Without them, the laptop slides right over the top of the plastic clip. Not suitable for storing an expensive electronic device. This isn't a deal breaker though, I went ahead and used some Gorilla Glue to get the rubber grips back in place. It's working great again. But I can be something I have to do every 6 months. Bottom line, this is great hardware as long as you don't remove your computer from it often. If you need to take your laptop off from time to time (like me - I work from home a few days a week and in the office the rest of the day) then just think about the rubber grip issue and buy some Gorilla Glue yourself . if these handles become loose.
