Review on Kingsley Silver Plated Shaving πŸͺ’ Soap Cup: Stylish and Functional with Handle by Christine Brown

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The cup is ok, the handle needs some work

Too bad this would be a perfect product if the edges of the handle were polished. Anyhow, any straight metal burrs from stamping or extruding the component have been removed, but there are almost sharp edges around the handle on either side, making the mug difficult to grip and use. I just received it today and right after taking it out of the box I noticed a big reduction. After paying so much for a versatile mug, silver plated or not, I expect a fully finished product. The mug itself looks good and is a good weight. Please note that 2.25 inch soap cakes cannot be picked up properly as advertised unless they are hovering over the bottom bulge of the cup. It's not that bad, but the diameter would be better if it was 3 inches or more. Users should pay attention to the best fit when purchasing small soap cakes. Also, I haven't found the country of origin yet, but I'll come back to the announcement and double-check. I don't see any manufacturer markings on the mug itself. or country of origin. I would also like to know the substrate or base metal. Because of the handle, I'm thinking of applying for a return authorization and buying a slightly larger device elsewhere, maybe even ceramic, despite its fragility. Too bad, because the pen itself is a stumbling block for me.

Pros
  • a handy thing
Cons
  • so far so good
