I bought this to add flexibility to my Canon 5D Mark III and didn't want a long cord. I shoot top to bottom and it keeps my setup neat/clean. I chose the cable labeled USB-A right, it connects my DSLR to the OTG adapter and finally to the micro USB port my android phone. The app I use is called DSLR Controller on Play. To keep. It costs around $5 but it beats every other free option currently available as EVERYTHING is a joke. As far as I know, the Canon app only allows a wireless connection, which my camera doesn't have. The only reason I took off a star was that it didn't fit snugly in the mini USB port.
