I was pleasantly surprised when I first used this. The noise isolation is much better than I thought given the small device. It's like wearing earbuds but headphones. I wear them to the office. What often happens is that our conversations in the adjoining cabins are too loud. If I put them over music or a good podcast, that whole conversation becomes inaudible. In fact, there were times when a colleague walked right up to me, looked me in the eye, and asked a direct question in a conversational voice. And I couldn't understand what he was saying to these guys. In terms of sound quality, they have nothing to do with the in-ear headphones or even the multi-driver headphones that 1More has on the market. But it's very good. Combined with the fact that it blocks out most of the surrounding noise, you can actually hear quieter sounds much better. In general, I think it was a good purchase. After that I bought Bluetooth cable sets from Shure. If you want to use this with a smartphone, I recommend using one of these options.
