Review on ASICS Womens Gel Venture 5 W Indigo by Leah Freitag

Revainrating 5 out of 5

They are very soft, half a size larger

I'm a runner and usually have to go up a half size especially to accommodate my orthotics (I have a stupid high arch). These aren't trail runners, so I guess all running shoes are like that. I specifically ordered them to support my knees on the days they bothered me (and otherwise I wear my QCs). GOOD: They are great for supporting weak knees and high arches. They also helped me deal with a split tibia. They're really reasonably priced and they look good if that's important. They're also incredibly comfortable for walking around town and running errands (which I recommend you NOT do with your sneakers, but I lazily cry sometimes). BAD STRETCH CUPS. Oh my god, runner. Don't buy shoelaces without stretch. Your leg may become numb. The laces had to be changed almost immediately. They also don't really support a midfoot strike for those who don't naturally do so. Of course I play with my heel, which can hurt me. I also have this pair of trail runners that do almost midfoot landings, which in my limited opinion a shoe should aim for. I bought them on purpose so I could keep running even when I was in pain. MY BODY has very high arches, I squat a little and I'm prone to knee pain and shin splints. Most days I run 3-5km at an average speed of 6mph. I'm skinny but due to knee problems I sometimes need shoes that give me less ground contact. (I prefer one with more, but it is inferior in terms of effect) DO YOU RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT? Yes. If you're the kind of person that needs extra support, this is a pretty good shoe. And the price is right.
