Will update review when I get a replacement. The block was indeed defective. I work in tech so pairing a BT device with me is like drinking water. When I first tried to connect the device, my iPhone "recognized" it, but when I tried to pair it, the pairing said pairing failed. So I tried again. The phone no longer recognizes the device. phone restarted. Now again. Cannot be detected. I then tried connecting the device to two other iPhones, a smart TV and a laptop. Neither of them could recognize the device. Switched off. Included. loaded. Loaded again. If 5 devices can't detect the headset in pairing mode, you know it's a headset. And it's easy to pair. Heck, it automatically goes into pairing mode when you turn it on because there's nothing paired with it. I don't know if I've ever received some DOA, but I think it's bound to happen sooner or later. I ordered a replacement as I'm pretty sure it's just bad from the factory. I will update my review when there is a new one. To update. There were no problems with the replacement device. Connected instantly. The general sound quality seems to be good. I seem to have felt some lag and echo, but I feel a lot better with this new one.
