I broke a key in an old Python lock that hasn't been touched in a tree for at least a few years. Master Lock will replace him as a courtesy. However, the broken key turned out to be aluminum or some similar metal, not steel or brass. I had another python and took the "aluminum" key to a locksmith. He used an ILCO 1092VA brass blank which made the best key. Take your Python to the locksmith. It took a bit of polishing before the key worked perfectly in the lock. Going forward I will lock my pythons at least every 6 months and possibly every time I take out a security camera. Master Lock recommends NOT using WD-40, silicone or graphite. They strongly recommended a PTFE/Teflon based lubricant such as Dupont Teflon Multipurpose Grease. FYI, you can cut the python cable with small bolt cutters.
