Let me start by saying that this is by far the most compact and easy to install mount I have installed. I've installed several mounts in my life and it only takes 20 minutes. To do all of this I will be ordering a few more of these if you get this mount just keep one thing in mind this mount has some medium power small tvs can go up to 32 inches or so (lightweight flat panel tv not a dinosaur ), do not try to install it if your TV is 50 or 60 inch. Stud mounting is always preferable. If you can't find a bolt, drywall installation is fine, but how secure and strong it is depends on your drywall. Thickness, note drywall can be paper so please always try to attach safety wire just in case no one wants an accident, injury to a child or pet. TV and on the wall.
