I have to say I had high hopes for the Quiksilver Union Amphibian Youth 19 Shorts and while they met most of my expectations, they didn't quite do the job. First of all, these dream blue shorts look absolutely stunning - they look like nothing I've seen before. The material is lightweight, breathable and dries quickly, making them perfect for a day at the beach or kayaking. Size 22/8S fits my 12 year old perfectly and moves with him so no uncomfortable rubbing or sticking. However, despite their appearance and practicality, shorts have some limitations. First, there aren't many pockets - just two on the front and one on the back - so it's not very convenient for people who need to carry a lot. Second, while the shorts are perfect for outdoor activities, I would recommend wearing compression shorts or underwear with some support as the shorts don't have a lot of padding. Overall, the Quiksilver Union Amphibian Youth 19 Shorts are a great option for anyone looking for a reliable short for outdoor activities, but if you're looking for a more versatile option that you can wear straight to the beach, I recommend looking elsewhere . . 3 out of 5 stars.
