Worth buying Child seats

My 3 year old loves to ride with me. He was stationed on a beach cruiser. Due to the frame, I have to ride very wide-legged (not ideal, but still fun with my kid). We drove 2-3 km at a time. I like and feel more comfortable when my child sits in front of me rather than behind me.
