Every trailer should have one
I love these things, use them on every trailer I own. Such a simple concept, can't understand why they don't come from the factory like this. The brake control line should run to the truck's frame or superstructure as a double backup, but the usual thin cable is pulled along the ground or is not long enough, so in most cases it terminates with a zip attached to a safety chain. These tear-away zippers give you the length and flexibility you need to hook anywhere without tugging or pulling the pin around tight corners.
