I ordered this cheese slicer because I love rose gold and my newly renovated kitchen has lots of rose gold accents. This food slicer is fairly solid, heavy and large and appears to be well made. However, despite marketing claims, adjusting the slice thickness was NOT "simple". You have to use a screwdriver on both ends to loosen and tighten the wire, and it's very difficult to line up the wire - there's always a little more room on one end than the other. It's a complex procedure that can only be performed with two hands - probably more of a two-person task, but I'm single so I didn't have the opportunity. I finally gave in and sent it back. Life is too short to deal with such problems. Replaced it with a wire cutter that easily adjusts slice thickness by simply loosening and tightening a knob in the center - no tools required. However, it's not as pretty as this shiny rose gold. Oh.
