Review on Portable Acoustics JBL Charge 4, 30W, grey by Hemant Hemant ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I cant say that I was completely satisfied with the product.

I had been daydreaming about it for a very long time, and now all the conditions are perfect for it to come true. The initial impression is complicated and leans more toward dissatisfaction. I was aware that there was only one speaker because I had seen a lot of evaluations; nonetheless, two of them were purchased so that they could link to TWS. I spent a considerable amount of time figuring out how to link the speakers together, but the complete lack of any instructions came as an unwelcome and unpleasant surprise to me. After figuring it out, I discovered that the connection is set to operate in PartyBoost mode by default, and the only way to switch to a stereo pair is through the application itself. That is to say, the use case including a computer or a telephone connected via bluetooth is no longer possible. The second unwelcome discovery is that there are enormous, even monstrous sound delays, which make it impossible to watch films or use YouTube; these delays are on the order of half a second. As a consequence of this, I purchased a minijack cable, and now, whenever I want to watch a movie with high-quality sound, I attach the speakers to the AUX input, which is conveniently located here. If I had been aware of the jambs prior to purchasing it, I never would have made the purchase. My general opinion is that the speakers are of high quality, but only when used for listening to music. If I were to spend 12 kilorubles on speakers, I would look for either one that was significantly more powerful or two that had standard pairing and connection mechanisms.

Pros
  • The sound quality is satisfying. Charging using Type C. The look is absolutely fantastic.
Cons
  • When played at a volume higher than 3/4, the low frequencies are slashed viciously, and the falsetto is played. Connect+ is, by far, the most efficient method I've encountered for pairing speakers.
